Laura Dern wears a Timex Expedition

Dr. Ellie Sattler, the paleobotanist played by Laura Dern, spends Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park (1993) on Isla Nublar as Hammond's dinosaur park comes apart. With mobile phones not yet ubiquitous, the film puts watches on most of its leads.

On Ellie's wrist is a Timex, a budget field-sport watch that watch-spotters read as a Timex Expedition. It suits a working scientist in the field, though the watch is not shown closely enough to pin an exact model, and the Expedition name as such postdates the film.
