Kiefer Sutherland wears a Casio BP-100

The Casio BP-100 is one of the stranger watches ever to appear on screen: a digital watch with a built-in blood pressure monitor that takes a reading through a fingertip sensor plate rather than an inflatable cuff. Casio released it in February 1992 as the first wristwatch to measure blood pressure. Kiefer Sutherland wears one in The Vanishing (1993), George Sluizer's American remake of his own 1988 Dutch film Spoorloos, and the film gives it a clear close-up: the CASIO and BP-100 markings are legible, along with the systolic and diastolic readout and a finger pressed to the sensor.

Sutherland plays Jeff Harriman, whose girlfriend disappears at a highway rest stop and who spends three years trying to find out what happened to her.
