Kid Cudi plays himself in Dean Parisot's Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020). In a film where time and space are coming apart, even playing yourself is an active role: as Parisot put it, "He gets mysteriously thrown around through various times, because all time and space is coming unglued." Cudi performs at a present-day concert, swaps places with Jesus at the Last Supper, and lands in a suburban driveway in front of Thea and Billie, the daughters whose band drives the plot.
On his wrist is a silver Casio G-Shock. The G-Shock specialist site G-Central identifies it as a DW-6900, the round-cased model known for the three small dials across the top of its face, and reckons it is the same watch Cudi wore on the Tonight Show in 2017. An actor playing himself wears his own things, and the DW-6900 is about as close to a signature watch as Cudi has. He later lent his name to an official BAPE x Kid Cudi x G-Shock DW-6900 in 2021, and a gem-set DW-6900 turned up in the auction of his personal collection. The watch in the driveway is not a costume; it is the one he already owned.
