Kevin Spacey wears a Rolex Submariner

Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak (1995) gives its ensemble plenty of room, and Kevin Spacey makes the most of a supporting role. The film follows a lethal airborne virus from Africa to a small California town, where Dustin Hoffman's Colonel Sam Daniels races to find a cure while the military debates firebombing the town instead. Spacey plays Casey Schuler, Daniels' colleague and friend at USAMRIID, the Army's infectious-disease lab. It is not a large part, but Spacey gives Schuler a wry competence that grounds the science.
