Kevin Hart wears an unidentified watch

Teddy Walker's life comes apart in one pop. Proposing to his girlfriend inside the barbecue grill store he is about to inherit, he sends a champagne cork into an open gas tank and levels the building. That is how a salesman who had arranged his finances to look wealthier than he actually was ends up needing a GED, in Carrie Carter's unorthodox night school classroom, in Malcolm D. Lee's 2018 comedy. Kevin Hart plays Teddy and Tiffany Haddish plays the teacher.

In the classroom he sits with his hands folded on the desk, and the watch on his left wrist is easy to see: a round polished steel case, a cream dial with slim hands, a black leather strap. What it is not is the Seiko Cocktail Time "Golden Champagne" this entry once named. The one crowdsourced spot behind that claim linked it only as a "Close Match" to a champagne gold dial on a brown strap, and the frames show neither; the dial is cream and the strap is black. The other spotting site declined to name a brand at all, describing a steel case, a cream dial with a subdial and a date window, a black leather strap, and hands "similar to some of the Seiko Presage watches."

So the watch stays unidentified, described as far as the frames allow and no further. No watch publication has covered Teddy's wrist, and the film never mentions the watch.
