The still on this record is Madame Claude at work: Karole Rocher in a fur coat crossing a checkerboard-marble hotel lobby, one of her girls trailing behind. Fernande Grudet, the real Claude, ran the most connected call girl ring in 1960s Paris, with clients running from the Elysee Palace to American industrialists, and died in Nice in 2015 at 92. Sylvie Verheyde's Netflix film reconstructs that world with Rocher as a woman whose business is information about powerful men, Roschdy Zem as the gangster Jo Attia, and Annabelle Belmondo, Jean-Paul's granddaughter, in a small role. The French watch site Montres-de-luxe identified the watch on Rocher's wrist as a Cartier Panthere in gold and steel.

The same article pointed out the problem with it: the Panthere, with its small square case and two-tone chain-link bracelet, reached the market in 1983, some fifteen years after the film's setting. The author even offered the period-correct alternative, writing that she should have worn "a Baignoire or even a Santos." The cat itself is older than any of those watches. Jeanne Toussaint, Cartier's creative director from the 1930s, made the panther the house's signature long before it became the name on a two-tone wristwatch.
