Jon Heder wears a Casio Digital Watch

Napoleon Dynamite (2004), Jared Hess's deadpan comedy, puts a plain black Casio digital watch on its hero's wrist, and the film gives it a clear close-up as Napoleon checks the time in a field. Jon Heder plays Napoleon, and the cheap Casio is of a piece with his moon boots, his tater tots, and his generally out-of-time wardrobe.

The exact model is debated. Casio collectors who have studied the close-up lean toward the W-71, which some sellers now market as the Napoleon Dynamite watch, while casual lists of famous Casio wearers file it under the near-identical F-91W. The two are very similar vintage Casio digitals, and no authoritative source settles which one sits on Napoleon's wrist.
