John Travolta wears a Breitling Professional

In John Woo's Broken Arrow (1996), Major Vic Deakins is a B-3 Stealth pilot who steals two B-83 nuclear warheads from his own plane mid-flight and tries to ransom them back to the United States government. John Travolta plays Deakins. The chase that follows runs through Canyonlands National Park, an abandoned Utah copper mine, the Colorado River, and a train. The watch on Deakins's wrist is a Breitling Aerospace in two-tone titanium and gold on a leather strap.

The Aerospace is Breitling's quartz pilot watch. Breitling launched it in 1985: titanium case, analog hands, two digital windows on the dial, the rotating bezel doubling as the interface for setting the alarm, chrono, second time zone, and countdown timer. Through the nineties and into the two-thousands the Aerospace was one of the watches military pilots actually wore. Breitling made custom-unit versions for US pilot squadrons.

Travolta has been a Breitling ambassador for years.
