John Cleese wears a Seiko A718

Clockwise (1986), written by the playwright Michael Frayn, follows Brian Stimpson, a comprehensive-school headmaster whose whole identity rests on punctuality. John Cleese plays him as a man undone the moment he boards the wrong train to a headmasters' conference, after which the film becomes the orderly collapse of someone who cannot bear to be late. Penelope Wilton and Alison Steadman are in the supporting cast.

On Stimpson's wrist is a Seiko A718, a digital LCD watch with a World Time function. Collectors now nickname the A718 "the John Cleese" because of this film.
