John Cena wears a Hublot Big Bang

Ilya Naishuller's Heads of State (2025) is an Amazon action comedy in which a US President and a UK Prime Minister, stranded after their plane is shot down, fight their way across Europe. John Cena plays the President, Will Derringer, a former action star elected on the strength of a commando franchise called Water Cobra. The joke is a man with action-hero reflexes finally in the one job where they apply.

On Derringer's wrist, glimpsed as he braces against the cabin during the mid-air attack, is a gold watch with an openworked dial. Watch-spotters have not settled it: guesses run from a Hublot Big Bang to a Classic Fusion to an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak, and no source has confirmed any of them. The thick, screw-studded case and skeletonized gold dial read most like a Hublot Big Bang, the brand's deliberately oversized sports watch, though the logo is not legible in the frame.

Either way, it is a large gold watch on a man who built a career, and then a presidency, on being the biggest thing in the room.
