Jim Carrey wears a Casino Alarm Chronograph

Jim Carrey's Lloyd Christmas wears a "Casino" in Dumb and Dumber (1994), a Casio knockoff so cheap that even its name is a forgery. The Farrelly Brothers wanted the most anonymous timepiece imaginable for a man who drives a dog-shaped van, and a close-up obliges: the dial reads CASINO above "Alarm Chronograph" and "Water Resist," with a digital date window near the six. Writing "CASINO" instead of "Casio" also kept the production clear of any trademark trouble.

Lloyd is a limo driver from Providence who drives across the country to return a briefcase of cash to a woman he is infatuated with, never realizing it was a ransom drop. He checks the watch after reading graffiti in a truck-stop bathroom, and he trusts it completely, which is the joke: a knockoff of an already-cheap brand, on a man who has no idea it is a knockoff.
