Jessie T. Usher wears a Rolex Submariner

Dangerous Lies is a Netflix thriller, released into the first weeks of the 2020 lockdown, in which Camila Mendes plays Katie, a young caregiver who inherits her elderly employer's estate, and Jessie T. Usher plays her husband Adam. Elliott Gould, of The Long Goodbye and M*A*S*H, plays the old man whose death sets the plot moving. Michael M. Scott directed.

Adam's watch is part of the plot. As the inherited money starts to change him, he turns up with an expensive new Rolex, and when it is found he insists it is a knockoff. The watch press read the on-screen piece as a white-gold Submariner with a blue dial, but noted they could not be sure it was a genuine Rolex. The Submariner has been Rolex's, and the world's, definitive dive watch since 1953.
