Jean Reno wears an unidentified watch

Comme un chef was the French title. The English-language release called it The Chef. Either way, it is a 2012 comedy about a Michelin-starred chef fighting to keep his traditional kitchen from being taken over by molecular gastronomy. Daniel Cohen directed, and Jean Reno plays Alexandre Lagarde, the old-guard chef whose investors want him to modernize. Michael Youn plays a gifted amateur cook who becomes Lagarde's secret weapon. The film is light, predictable, and Reno is the main reason to watch it.
