Time-travel movies usually ask the audience to ignore the mechanics and focus on the drama. Peter Hyams' Timecop (1994) gives Jean-Claude Van Damme's Max Walker, a federal agent in the Time Enforcement Commission who stops criminals from traveling to the past to alter events for profit, a watch to match: a Casio DW400, the kind of cheap digital quartz that would keep working in any decade he lands in.
The DW400, a black resin digital sport watch sometimes labeled Tachy Meter, is visible on Walker's wrist in the film and is documented by Casio collectors as the Timecop watch. It does nothing special and does it reliably, which is the point for a character whose gear reflects a government salary rather than ambition.
