Jamie Foxx wears a Casio G-Shock

Bud Jablonski leans against his truck outside a dry cleaners in a pineapple-print Aloha shirt, Snoop Dogg's Big John beside him in a cowboy hat, and on Bud's wrist is a cheap black Casio. Jamie Foxx plays him in Day Shift as an LA pool cleaner whose real money comes from hunting vampires and pulling their fangs. The watch is a G-Shock GA-100, the all-black version with white hands, an analog dial over a small digital window.

Kikuo Ibe built the first G-Shock for Casio in 1983 around a single goal: a watch that survives a 10-meter drop onto concrete. Bud's line of work is hard on a watch. He also uses it the way anyone uses a cheap digital, setting one of its five alarms to remind himself to pick up his daughter, Paige.
