Tom Wachowski is trying to have a serious talk with a hedgehog. The two of them are out in a rowboat on a Montana lake in the opening of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic slumped across from him, Tom working the oars, and the talk falls apart when Sonic tips into the water he is afraid of and has to be hauled back in. James Marsden plays Tom across both Sonic films as the small-town sheriff who somehow became a blue alien's guardian.
On the wrist pulling those oars is a Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical, a 38mm steel field watch with a black dial, cream military numerals, and a NATO strap. It is hand-wound, runs on Hamilton's H-50 movement with an 80-hour reserve, and sells for $675. Hamilton built it as a faithful copy of the soldier's watch it made in the 1960s.
Hamilton claims this one itself. The brand's product page for the reference, H69439931, says in plain text that the watch was "worn by Sheriff Tom Wachowski, played by James Marsden," the sort of credit watch companies usually leave to fan sites. Marsden wears the same watch in both Sonic films, long enough that it reads as Tom's own rather than a costume pull.
