Two men stand in a concrete corridor inside the Citadel, the fictional CIA black site in Jordan where Black Site spends almost its entire running time. One is in camouflage fatigues. The other, Jai Courtney, wears a gray polo and tan tactical trousers with a pistol clipped at his waist. He plays Raymond Miller, a CIA contractor and former Marine, one of the staff locked in the building when the prisoner they are holding, an asset code-named Hatchet, gets loose and starts hunting them.
On Miller's left wrist is an all-black watch. The case is round, the dial too deep in shadow to read, and the bracelet a row of squared, blacked-out links. It has the rugged, anonymous look that reads as operator gear without committing to a brand, and no one has committed a brand to this one. No watch publication, no auction listing, no manufacturer page has ever identified it. The still is the only record that it was on his wrist at all.
That blankness suits the picture. Redbox released Black Site in May 2022 to reviews that found it generic, the kind of production where a prop is picked to look right on camera rather than to be recognized off it. Miller's watch meets that brief and stops there, convincing in the frame and a dead end to anyone who tries to name it.
