Hugh Grant wears a Panerai Luminor

Alex Fletcher peaked in the 1980s. In Marc Lawrence's 2007 romantic comedy Music and Lyrics, Hugh Grant plays him as a faded pop star from the band PoP!, reduced to amusement parks and class reunions, who gets one more shot when a reigning diva, Cora Corman, asks him to write her a song. He can turn out a melody in his sleep but not a lyric, so he leans on the woman watering his plants, Sophie Fisher, played by Drew Barrymore, who proves to have a gift for words.
