Daniel Cleaver is Bridget's boss at a London publishing house, the charming and unfaithful cad set against Colin Firth's decent Mark Darcy. Hugh Grant plays him in Bridget Jones's Diary (2001), and on his wrist is a stainless steel Panerai Luminor Marina on a steel Panerai bracelet, the beefy cushion case catching the light as he fixes a pair of bunny ears onto Bridget for a Tarts and Vicars party.

Time and Tide identifies the watch as the Luminor Marina reference OP 6560, an early steel Panerai from the years when the Florence brand was becoming a status piece for larger wrists. Hugh Grant is a longtime Panerai wearer off screen, and Cleaver keeps the watch on through the office scenes where most of his charm gets deployed. He would wear a Panerai again as Cleaver in the 2004 sequel, The Edge of Reason.
