Guy Pearce wears a TAG Heuer Carrera

Andrew Bujalski helped invent mumblecore, the low-budget, naturalistic style of indie filmmaking, with Funny Ha Ha (2002) and Mutual Appreciation (2005). Results (2015) is what that sensibility looks like with real movie stars and a bigger budget. Guy Pearce plays Trevor, who runs an Austin gym called Power 4 Life and styles himself as a fitness guru. Cobie Smulders plays Kat, a trainer at his gym, and Kevin Corrigan plays Danny, a wealthy new client who complicates things between them.

The TAG Heuer Grand Carrera Calibre 17 RS2 on Trevor's wrist belongs to Pearce himself. He told the watch site Time+Tide that he wore his own watch in the film, and that the director took one look and decided it suited the character, 'like a macho sort of watch.' The Grand Carrera was the upper tier of TAG Heuer's Carrera line, and the RS2 is the flashy one: instead of ordinary subdial hands, the running seconds at three and the chronograph minutes at nine sit on rotating discs, and a red seconds hand sweeps the dial. In the gym scenes it is easy to spot on Trevor's wrist, a big dark chronograph with a flash of red.
