Damian Harris, son of the actor Richard Harris, directed Deceived (1991) from a screenplay by Mary Agnes Donoghue that was rewritten by Bruce Joel Rubin, credited under the pen name Derek Saunders. Goldie Hawn plays Adrienne, who works in the New York art world and discovers, after her husband is reported dead in a car accident, that he had been dealing in forgeries and living under a stolen identity. John Heard plays the husband.
Adrienne's watch has been identified as a Must de Cartier. Cartier launched the Must line in 1972 as an accessibility strategy, using gold-plated vermeil cases rather than solid gold to bring the brand's design language to a wider audience. Alain Dominique Perrin built the line to widen Cartier's reach without abandoning its luxury positioning. The identification comes from a single watch-spotting site rather than a documented source, and the watch is not clearly visible in the available stills, so it stays unconfirmed.
