For seventeen years, Julien Foucault has run the dining room of the Berthin-Schwartz bank, a venerable Paris maison d'affaires. In Michel Munz and Gérard Bitton's 2009 comedy Bank Error in Your Favour, Gérard Lanvin plays Foucault as the steward who serves the bank's private lunches and overhears its secrets. When the bank lets him go, he turns what he has heard into a plan to open a restaurant with his best friend Étienne, played by Jean-Pierre Darroussin. The bank does not take it quietly.
Foucault is identified as wearing a Boucheron Reflet. Boucheron was founded in 1858 by Frédéric Boucheron and became the first of the great jewelers to open on the Place Vendôme. The Reflet has been made since 1947, a rectangular jeweler's watch with a case you can re-strap by hand, sliding the bracelet in and out of the lugs.
