The still on this record is the gas station fight, one of the two scenes the spotters used to pin the watch down: Yelena Belova mid-grapple, right arm braced overhead, an all-black digital watch on the raised wrist. Florence Pugh plays Yelena in Cate Shortland's Black Widow (2021), a Red Room-trained operative with a deadpan that cuts against the Marvel quip machine, and the watch is a Casio G-Shock DW-5600BB-1, the Basic Black version of the square original: black case, black strap, and an inverted LCD that darkens the display to match. The G-Shock fan site G-Central published the identification after a reader tip, noting that the watch rides her right wrist and reads clearest in the apartment fight and the gas station scene.
The DW-5600 square descends from the original G-Shock of 1983, and the BB treatment strips it of everything reflective. On a character built to pass unnoticed the costume logic was plain enough that Tatler filed it in a superhero-watch roundup as an affordable "G-Shock tactical ticker" for a spy who does her own drop-kicking. The identification holds across every spotter community that looked, which for a plain black digital in a Marvel film is its own kind of consensus.
