Jonathan McQuarry is an accountant working late at a Manhattan law firm when a charismatic lawyer, Wyatt Bose, strikes up a conversation. They become friends, their phones get switched, and McQuarry answers a call meant for Bose that pulls him into an anonymous sex club and then a frame-up. Ewan McGregor plays McQuarry in Marcel Langenegger's Deception (2008), opposite Hugh Jackman's Bose.
He wears a Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Contemporaine in rose gold, the cleanest expression of the brand's dress idiom: a thin round case, applied bar indexes, and a small seconds at six, nothing competing with the time itself. The watch is clearly on his wrist in the scene, a thin rose-gold piece on a brown strap, but the dial is not readable on screen, so the model rests on two specialist watch-in-film catalogues rather than anything legible in the film.
