Edison Chen wears a Rolex Air-King

Infernal Affairs II (2003) is the prequel to the Hong Kong crime film that Martin Scorsese later remade as The Departed. Andrew Lau and Alan Mak directed it as an origin story: how the moles got planted, how a young cop infiltrated the triads, and how a young triad member infiltrated the police. Edison Chen plays the young Lau Kin-ming, the triad plant who grows up to become Andy Lau's character in the original film. The steel Rolex resting on his desk is an early sign that he is living above his official salary.

The watch is a Rolex Air-King, the plainest watch in the Oyster Perpetual family: no date, no complications, a smooth bezel and a silver dial reading Oyster Perpetual Air-King Precision. A Hong Kong police inspector's pay would not easily stretch to a Rolex, even the most modest one, and on a young detective being paid by both sides it is exactly the kind of detail a suspicious Internal Affairs investigator might notice.
