2 Broke Girls ran on CBS from 2011 to 2017, a sitcom about two waitresses in Williamsburg pooling tips toward a cupcake business: Max Black, who grew up poor, and Caroline Channing, a socialite whose father went to prison for running a Ponzi scheme. It is not a show with much use for a tactical watch. Ed Quinn turned up in the fifth season as Randy Walsh, a celebrity lawyer from Los Angeles who dates Max and spends his arc flying back and forth across the country to keep it going. He is the show's idea of a catch, successful and a little too smooth, and he sticks around long enough to move to New York and propose.
The watch, by MTM's account, is the Silver Predator, which is a strange thing to strap on a sitcom lawyer. MTM Special Ops sells what it calls military and tactical watches for men, out of an address on South Grand Avenue in downtown Los Angeles, and it pitches the Predator at modern warriors and first responders. The Silver Predator is titanium, 44 millimeters across and 15 thick, with a brushed silver finish, a Japanese VD57B quartz chronograph movement, a unidirectional ratcheting bezel, and water resistance to 200 meters. It runs about 695 dollars. None of it has much to do with a celebrity lawyer flying in to date a waitress.
That the watch is a Silver Predator at all comes from MTM, which lists Ed Quinn and 2 Broke Girls on its own media page, among the on-screen appearances it advertises. The brand had reason to be pleased: a watch built for soldiers rarely lands a stage as big as a CBS comedy about cupcakes. There is a scene where Randy stands in a towel holding Max's hand, and even then his wrist, the one in frame, is bare.
