Dwayne Johnson wears an unidentified watch

Snitch is one of Dwayne Johnson's few films where he is not the biggest person in every room by design. Ric Roman Waugh directed this 2013 thriller, loosely based on a true story, about a construction company owner named John Matthews whose teenage son is arrested in a DEA drug sting and faces a mandatory minimum of ten years. Matthews makes a deal with a federal prosecutor played by Susan Sarandon to go undercover and deliver a bigger target in exchange for his son's reduced sentence. Jon Bernthal plays the ex-con employee who reluctantly introduces Matthews to the cartel, and Barry Pepper plays the DEA agent running the operation. Johnson plays Matthews as a regular dad in over his head, which is unusual for him — no superpowers, no military background, just a guy trying to get his kid out of prison.
