Dwayne Johnson wears a Panerai Luminor

Gridiron Gang (2006) is based on a real program at Camp Kilpatrick, a Los Angeles juvenile detention facility where a counselor built a football team to give incarcerated teenagers some structure. Phil Joanou directed Dwayne Johnson as Sean Porter, the counselor who coaches the team against local high schools while fighting institutional doubt and the kids' own self-destructive habits.

On Porter's wrist is a Panerai Luminor, a steel cushion-cased watch with a black dial, luminous markers, and the crown-protecting lever bridge clearly visible. Johnson is one of the most committed Panerai wearers in film. A watch retailer's roundup of his screen Panerais lists this one as a Luminor Submersible, but the watch shown has the smooth bezel of a standard Luminor rather than the rotating dive bezel a Submersible would carry, so the safer call is simply a Panerai Luminor.
