John Wells' Burnt (2015) is a kitchen drama about second chances. Bradley Cooper plays Adam Jones, a once-brilliant chef who burned down his career and is trying to rebuild it in London, chasing a third Michelin star. Daniel Brühl plays Tony, who runs the hotel restaurant where Jones gets his shot.
The watch on Tony's wrist is a Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso, identified by Montres-de-luxe as the Reverso Classic Large Duo in gold. It is Brühl's own. He is a longtime friend of the brand, and the watch site Horobox noted he wore his Reverso Duoface in the film. JLC designed the Reverso in 1931 for polo players, who needed a case they could flip over to shield the crystal from stray mallets, and the Duo versions use that hinged back to show a second time zone. In the film it sits on his crossed wrist in a hotel suite, a rectangular gold case with a pale dial, the unmistakable shape of a Reverso.
