That identification comes from a single French watch column in October 2008, reprinted by another site but never independently confirmed, although the column did run frames of the watch from the film. In an outdoor scene with Justine, a steel watch on a metal bracelet sits on his wrist, consistent with a Datejust but pushed too far up his sleeve to read. Rolex launched the Datejust in 1945 as the first wristwatch to change its own date in a window on the dial, and it has been the brand's steadiest seller ever since. No clear shot fixes the reference, so it stays a steel Datejust without a confirmed model.
