William Monahan wrote The Departed, won an Oscar for it, and then made his directing debut with London Boulevard (2010). Colin Farrell plays Mitchel, an ex-convict trying to go straight as a handyman and minder for a reclusive actress, played by Keira Knightley, while a London gangster, played by Ray Winstone, keeps trying to drag him back in. The film came and went, but Farrell is good in it.

The French magazine Montres-de-luxe identified Mitchel's watch as an Omega Railmaster. The Railmaster goes back to 1957, when Omega built it for railway engineers, scientists, and technicians who worked near electrical fields, giving it a soft-iron inner case to shield the movement from magnetism. It is the plainest of Omega's tool watches, a clean dial with no rotating bezel and nothing to announce itself.

In the restaurant scene here, across the table from Knightley, the watch on Farrell's wrist matches that description: a round steel case with a dark dial and baton markers on a black leather strap. The dial does not read closely enough to confirm the model, so the Railmaster call rests on the magazine.
