Clive Owen wears a Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control

In Andrew Niccol's Anon (2018), the government requires everyone to carry an ocular implant that records everything they see and overlays data on whatever they look at. Clive Owen plays Sal Frieland, a detective in a city where total recording has nearly ended crime, until bodies start turning up with their final moments replaced by the killer's point of view.

The film's watch moment is built around that interface. Walking past a Jaeger-LeCoultre boutique, on his way to the film's first glimpse of Amanda Seyfried's Girl, the woman his implant can retrieve no data about, Frieland looks at the window and his implant labels each watch with its name and model number. He settles on the Master Geographic, reference 1428421, in steel with a silver dial on a black alligator strap, and the system projects it onto his wrist so he can see it worn. PrestigeTime, the retailer whose write-up documented the scene, described the trick as letting him "preview what it actually looks like worn on his wrist."
