Icy Breasts (Les Seins de glace, 1974) is Georges Lautner's adaptation of Richard Matheson's noir novel Someone Is Bleeding. Claude Brasseur plays François Rollin, a television writer in Nice who falls for Peggy (Mireille Darc), a widow living under the close watch of her lawyer, Marc Rilson (Alain Delon). Rilson tells Rollin that Peggy is mad and killed her husband, and the holiday romance turns into something colder.
A French watch site identifies Brasseur's watch as a steel Rolex Submariner. Rolex introduced the Submariner in 1953 as a divers' watch, water-resistant to 200 meters by this period and fitted with a rotating bezel for timing a descent. By 1974 it was as much a status piece as a tool, and it suits a story set along the Côte d'Azur. The watch is not clearly visible in the surviving stills, and that single mention is the only source for it.
