Christopher Lloyd wears a Seiko A826

Christopher Lloyd plays Emmett Brown in Robert Zemeckis's Back to the Future (1985) as a bundle of eccentric detail: the electrified hair, the radiation suit, the time machine built into a DeLorean in his garage. Michael J. Fox is Marty McFly, Crispin Glover and Lea Thompson play his not-yet-married parents, and Thomas F. Wilson is Biff Tannen.

On Doc's wrist is a Seiko A826, the model Seiko called the Training Timer: an early-1980s digital sports watch with a rotating bezel and a small remote trigger on a short lead for marking split times. Seiko was building some of the most advanced quartz watches in the world in this period, and the A826 was one of its more specialized tools.
