Five months after a boulder on Norway's Troll Wall forced her to let go of her husband's rope, Sasha carries his ashes into the Australian bush, and a stranger named Ben starts hunting her with a crossbow. Charlize Theron plays the climber and Taron Egerton the hunter. Baltasar Kormákur shot the chase in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales from February 2025, and Netflix released it on April 24, 2026. In the still where Sasha stands with both arms stretched up to a tree branch, a black digital watch sits on her left wrist, the band pulled tight against a forearm already scraped raw.
The watch is a Nixon Staple, in black with a positive display. It is a 39mm digital on a 22mm polyurethane strap, 12mm thick, with a case moulded from recycled ocean plastic under a hardened mineral crystal and a 100 metre rating. The module runs two independent mode loops, so any two functions can share the screen at once: time, a calendar programmed through 2099, a chronograph to a hundredth of a second, a timer, an alarm, an EL backlight and a coin flip. Nixon sells it for $150.
Theron has been a Breitling ambassador since 2018 and fronted the Navitimer 36 and 32 launch in 2023, so the wardrobe department strapped a $150 plastic watch to the wrist of the woman who sells Navitimers. On Sasha it is the honest choice. She kayaks and free climbs through the film, and a digital rated to 100 metres is the tool for that work. In the still where Ben has her in a shackle, the wrist is bare.
Nixon started on August 12, 1998 in Encinitas, California, when Chad DiNenna and Andy Laats, both out of the snowboard business, built a watch line sold only through board sports and fashion retailers.
