Brandon Sklenar wears a Cartier Santos de Cartier

Paul Feig directed The Housemaid (2025), the thriller from Freida McFadden's bestselling novel, with Brandon Sklenar as Andrew Winchester, the wealthy husband who hires Sydney Sweeney's Millie into his home. In this still he leans across a candlelit dinner table, and the watch on his wrist is unmistakably a Cartier Santos de Cartier: a square case with rounded corners, exposed screws on the bezel, a white dial with Roman numerals, and a brushed steel bracelet whose links carry the same screws.

The design goes back to 1904, when Louis Cartier made a flat wristwatch for his friend the aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont, who wanted to read the time without taking his hands off the controls. It became one of the first men's wristwatches meant to be read at a glance instead of pulled from a pocket. The steel-bracelet version on Andrew's wrist is the modern, sportier descendant of that first Santos.
