The Hangover (2009) ends where its disaster began, on a Las Vegas parking-structure roof at dawn, four wrecked men toasting their survival with the Strip behind them. Bradley Cooper plays Phil Wenneck, a schoolteacher who skims the field-trip fund and carries himself like a man with more money than he has. The watch credited to him is a Maurice Lacroix Les Classiques, the entry-level dress line from an accessible Swiss brand. That credit rests on enthusiast lore rather than anything documented: fans say Cooper told them in an interview the watch was his own, worn on set, and no watch magazine or auction has ever confirmed it. Some of those same fans argue the indices on screen do not match the Les Classiques at all. It does not help that the film's most-shared frame, that rooftop toast, hides Phil's wrist under his jacket cuff. The cream-dialed watch the eye actually lands on is on Doug's wrist, the groom the others spent the whole weekend trying to find.
