Brad Pitt wears an unidentified watch

Heart of the Beast is David Ayer's survival thriller, due in September 2026, with Brad Pitt as James Belmont, a former Army Special Forces soldier whose small plane goes down in the Alaskan wilderness. His only company is a retired service dog named Odin, and the film follows his attempt to cross the backcountry and get out alive. Pitt produced it through Plan B, and it was shot in the mountains around Queenstown, New Zealand.

The image here comes from the set rather than the finished film: a camera operator films Pitt, in costume and reading between takes, and a watch rides on the wrist holding the book. It is a chunky black dive watch, a round luminous dial under a dive bezel, on a green nylon strap that matches the field gear. The brand does not resolve in the frame, and with the film months from release no costume or watch source has named it. Pitt wears Breitling in his own life, but nothing ties that to Belmont's wrist.
