Bandaged and bruised, Zsa-zsa Korda sits at a desk beside a human skull in a grey pinstripe suit. Wes Anderson built The Phoenician Scheme (2025) around Benicio del Toro as this ruthless 1950s tycoon, who names his estranged daughter, a nun played by Mia Threapleton, as sole heir to his fortune and so becomes a target for the rivals, governments, and assassins his schemes have made. The cast is the usual Anderson ensemble, Tom Hanks, Bryan Cranston, Michael Cera, and Riz Ahmed among them, all of it shot in his flat, dollhouse symmetry.
On his left wrist, peeking from the pinstripe cuff above his clasped hands, is a gold watch, its dial hidden and only the case showing. A heavy gold signet ring sits on the same hand. No source has identified the watch, and there is too little of it in frame to name.
