Benedict Cumberbatch wears an unidentified watch

Morten Tyldum's The Imitation Game (2014) follows Alan Turing's work cracking the Enigma cipher at Bletchley Park, and his postwar prosecution for homosexuality. Costume design was by Sammy Sheldon Differ.

Cumberbatch's Turing wears a small, light-dialed vintage round watch on a dark leather strap. No editorial publication has identified the prop. Turing's actual watch, a Movado Sport, is on display at Bletchley Park Museum, but it remains unconfirmed whether the costume department chose a Movado or simply something period-appropriate. The visible dial rules out a black-faced military issue.
