Benedict Cumberbatch wears a Bremont

The premise is simple and mean: one half of a married couple succeeds while the other fails, and the marriage does not survive it. Jay Roach directed The Roses (2025), a comedy-drama built on that dynamic, with Benedict Cumberbatch as Theo Rose, the husband whose career craters as his wife's takes off.

The film's BAFTA-winning costume designer, PC Williams, told Vogue Philippines she collaborated with Bremont for Theo's watches. She did not name a model, and the watch on Cumberbatch's wrist in the airline-cabin scene gives little away: a steel case, a dark blue dial, a steel bracelet, a crown at 3. Williams described Theo as someone who "viewed clothing as functional rather than expressive," and his watch matches, a plain steel sport-dress Bremont.
