Ben Stiller wears an unidentified watch

Tugg Speedman is the kind of action star who names his own franchise "Scorcher" and films six sequels. Ben Stiller plays and directed this 2008 satire about actors making a Vietnam war movie who get dropped into real jungle with real drug lords and don't realize the cameras have stopped rolling. Robert Downey Jr., Jack Black, and Tom Cruise in a fat suit round out a cast that goes further than anyone expected.

Stiller's watch has not been identified. Tugg Speedman is a parody of every muscle-bound action hero from the late 1990s, and his watch — whatever it is — would be part of the costume's joke. Action stars in the Scorcher mold wear oversized chronographs, usually sponsored, usually visible in the poster. Whether the props department gave Stiller something intentionally generic or recognizably ridiculous would tell us how deep the satire runs on his wrist. Given that the film gets the details right everywhere else — the fake trailers, the awards bait, the agent's office — the watch is probably a deliberate choice nobody has bothered to identify.
