John McTiernan directed Last Action Hero (1993) as a meta-commentary on the action genre that made him and Schwarzenegger famous: a fictional movie cop, Jack Slater, gets pulled into the real world. Slater is invincible inside his own films, surviving explosions and delivering one-liners, and the joke is what happens when that figure meets reality.
On Slater's wrist is a Casio AMW-320, the black-dialed version of the analog-digital diver that collectors nicknamed the "Arnie" for its association with Schwarzenegger. It is an inexpensive, sturdy ana-digi with a rotating bezel and a small digital window, the sort of mass-market watch a prop department reaches for when the brief is simply a tough-guy watch.
