Anthony Hopkins wears a Rolex Bubble Back

Afonso Poyart's Solace (2015) began as a script developed as a sequel to Se7en, tentatively titled Ei8ht, until Se7en's director David Fincher turned the idea down. Anthony Hopkins plays John Clancy, a retired doctor and reclusive psychic who can see how and when people will die, brought in by the FBI to help catch a serial killer who shares his gift (Colin Farrell).

On Clancy's wrist, in a close-up early in the film, is what looks like a vintage Rolex Bubble Back, the rounded-caseback automatic that Rolex built from the late 1930s into the 1950s, here in gold on a leather strap. It is not a real one. Wrist Enthusiast, which catalogs counterfeit watches used as film props, flagged this one: the hour markers look like plastic rather than applied metal, the dial is missing the 'Swiss Made' line at six o'clock, and the watch is far too pristine for something supposedly eighty years old. Productions often use replicas like it rather than risk a fragile, valuable original on set.
