Al Pacino wears an unidentified watch

Val walks out of prison after 28 years and the world has moved on without him. Al Pacino plays Valentine in Fisher Stevens's Stand Up Guys (2012), reuniting with Christopher Walken and Alan Arkin for one last night before an old debt catches up. The film knows exactly what it is, three veteran actors playing three old criminals, leaning on chemistry rather than plot, and it works well enough when it leans into the comedy instead of the sentiment.
