Adam Sandler wears a Breitling Chronomat

The last watch is the one Howard gets to keep. By the end of Uncut Gems (2019), Adam Sandler's Howard Ratner has had an Audemars Piguet taken off his wrist by loan sharks and a diamond Rolex peeled off him along with his clothes, and he is down to a stainless Breitling Chronomat, gilt numbers on the bezel, the plainest of the three. He is also, finally, about to be right. He has locked Arno and his two enforcers in the buzzer-controlled vestibule of his own jewelry store and bet everything he has left on a single basketball game.

The watch gets its moment late, around the two-hour-five mark. Howard is watching the Celtics and the 76ers, Kevin Garnett playing the game of his life, the parlay alive, and as he gets up to unlock the door, the camera drops to his wrist and the Breitling. The bet hits. For one moment, the only one the movie allows him, Howard Ratner has won, and the watch is right there to see it.

He does not get to keep the moment. Seconds after he opens that door, one of the men he locked up shoots him, and Howard dies on the floor of his own store with the Breitling still on his wrist. It is the only one of his three watches nobody steals. He just doesn't live long enough to lose it.
