Aaron Eckhart wears an unidentified watch

Ambush is a 2023 Vietnam War picture from director Mark Burman, the kind of mission movie where a team goes into the Viet Cong tunnel networks after intelligence that could turn the war. Aaron Eckhart plays General Drummond, the one-star running the operation from the rear: the scene here is his command post, a typewriter and a field telephone on the desk, a DRUMMOND name tape on his fatigues, a cigarette going.

On his wrist is a steel watch on a steel bracelet, a dark dial sunk in the office shadow. It reads like a period military piece for a 1960s officer, but the dial keeps its markings in the dark, no name surfaces, and no watch source has logged it, so it stays unidentified.
